Mom saw everyone putting whipped cream on their faces so she hopped on the trend. Then realized how wrong she was

When it comes to a world that revolves around social media, it’s hard to avoid “trends.”

From sharing looks of love to counting to 8, there are so many different trending opportunities to explore. And one of the most popular product trends out there is whipped sunscreen.

And it’s causing a bit of confusion.

Yesterday, Kaitlyn Curtis took to TikTok to test out the viral “whipped cream primer” trend. So she went to the store bought whipped cream and tested it out.

After giving it a taste test, Curtis described it as “sticky,” but it’s a primer so “I think that’s why it’s a good primer,” Curtis explained.

And then she read the comments.

“I want to hold your hand when i tell you this,” a person wrote as Curtis responded saying “I’m so embarrassed.”

“Please don’t ever delete this,” another person added. “The innocence in this video,” someone pointed out.

You see, people aren’t actually putting whipped cream on their faces. It’s a product that only looks like whipped cream and can be found at most Targets.

It’s called Whipped Sunscreen by the company Vacation. This is what it looks like.

It’s a sunscreen with an SPF of 30, designed with a mousse like texture that leaves your skin protected from the sun and also feeling moisturized.

And while some people are skeptical of Curtis’s mistake, visually, the two products are very similar.

“This is something I would do,” someone added. “Oh darlin’, been there, girlie.”
