Will Smith Makes Special Request on Son Jaden’s 25th Birthday

At 25 years old, actor Will Smith was a father of 1. His son Trey was just two years old at the time.

On July 8, the now father of three celebrated his youngest son Jaden’s 25th birthday with a photo on Instagram and a special request.

As it turns out, it appears Will Smith is ready to be a grandfather. “Happy Birthday, J-Diggy. It’s crazy that you’re 25?!?! When I was 25 I had a 2 yr. old… I’m just sayin’… Wha’s up? What you doin’ over there,” Will wrote.

“[By the way], this is my favorite picture of us,” Smith added.

It’s unclear if Jaden is currently in a relationship with anyone at the moment. And while it’s unclear if his mom Jada feels as eager as Will does to become a grandparent, like many commenters pointed out, people in their 20s and 30s are often opting to be a little bit older before having kids, unlike their parents.

Jaden and Jada recently made headlines after Jaden revealed it was his mom who introduced his family to psychedelics. Jada has been open about her decision to use psychedelics to help with her depression.

While psychedelics are still illegal, neither Jaden nor Jada have shied away from sharing their experiences with the drug. As Jaden explained, “I think it was my mom. Actually, that was really the first one to make that step for the family,” Jaden said while explaining how he was first introduced to psychedelics.

“It was just her for a really, really long time, and then eventually it just trickled and evolved, and everybody found it in their own ways.” And when asked if it was really herself who introduced the drug into her son’s life, Jada didn’t confirm nor deny the allegations.

Instead, Jada used the question to promote her upcoming book expected to be released in October titled Worthy. “It all gets answered in the book,” she told People.

Jada Pinkett Smith’s new book will come six months after her popular Facebook show, Red Table Talk, has been canceled. The news of the show’s cancellation comes after Meta made the decision to “pivot” away from original programming, CNN reported.

Pinkett Smith confirmed the news the show was canceled with a statement she shared to her Instagram page. “We are so grateful to have had such a beautiful partnership with Facebook Watch, and we are sorry to see the entire team disbanded,” Pinkett Smith wrote. “We wish everyone well in their new journeys to come.”

Pinkett Smith concluded her statement by saying, despite the cancellation, she hopes this is not the end for her show. “We at Red Table are in talks of finding a new home, and we’ll see you soon.”

It’s unclear where that new home will be as of right now.
