WWE Legend Sentenced to 17 Years in Prison

Tammy “Sunny” Sytch, 50, is best known for her time with WWE. Her claim to fame is becoming widely considered as WWE’s very first “Diva.”

Sytch quickly became a fan favorite and was eventually inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2011.

Now, Sytch has learned her fate after she caused a fatal car accident on March 25, 2022.

As People reports, around 8:30 p.m. the night of the crash, Sytch was driving down Highway 1 when she ran into a vehicle stopped at a traffic light, which then also hit another car in front of it that was also stopped.

The 75-year-old driver of the car initially impacted by Sytch’s car passed away as a result of his injuries sustained in the crash. The driver and the passengers of the third car were also injured but survived.

Prior to the crash, Sytch had already been charged with 6 DUIs. She spent 8 months in prison as a result.

Now, after pleading no contest to DUI manslaughter, Sytch has been sentenced to 17 years in prison. Following her release in 2039, Sytch will also serve eight years on probation.
