On July 11, popular YouTuber Nicole Thea and her unborn child passed away suddenly. According to her Instagram account, Thea was nearly the end of her pregnancy, having posted an 8-month update just two weeks earlier.
She was just 24 years old. The news of Thea’s passing was shared by her mom via Thea’s Instagram account.

Along with a photo of the 24-year-old, her mom shared the news of her daughter’s death but didn’t explain the cause of her untimely passing. “To all Nicole’s friends and supporters, it is with great sadness that I have to inform you that Nicole and her son sadly passed away on Saturday morning.”
The grieving mom and grandma also revealed that Thea and her partner, Global Boga, had planned to name their son Reign. She went on to share that because Nicole pre-schedule a few YouTube videos prior to her passing that Boga “made the decision to allow them to be aired.”
“As a family, we ask that you give us privacy because our hearts are truly broken and we are struggling to cope with what has happened. […] RIP My beautiful baby girl Nicnac and my grandson Reign, I will miss you for the rest of my life until we meet again in eternal heaven. Xxx”
The first video walked her viewers through the behind-the-scenes of her second maternity shoot which took place in a milk bath, and the second was her and Boga answering pregnancy questions asked by her fans through Instagram.
Just a quick look at her Instagram or YouTube pages and it was clear how excited Thea was to be a mom for the first time. On June 30, Thea wrote, “I promise you it hasn’t kicked in yet that I’m about to be somebody’s mummy,” along with an emoji of a head exploding.
“Can’t wait to meet you, little man, soon to be 3 of us,” she added alongside a picture of her and Boga.
