Bullied 9-Year-Old with Dwarfism Invited to Matt Roloff’s Farm After Heartwrenching Video Goes Viral

Matt Roloff from Little People, Big World, wants one little person, in particular, to know they are not alone.

After he discovered the news of a 9-year-old from Australia who was being bullied due to his dwarfism, Matt reached out to offer his support. And while it is not confirmed if the two have connected, the potential relationship could empower this boy in a big way.

Quaden Bayles broke the world’s heart this past week when his mother shared a video of his reaction to being bullied at school due to his dwarfism.

In the video, Quaden is talking to his mother in the car after just leaving school. He then confides in her the following, disturbing message: “Give me a knife, I’m gonna kill myself.”

While Quaden sobs, his mother explains what has been going on at school. The video is difficult to watch as Quaden falls apart on camera — the direct effect of cruel bullying that his mother alleges happens on a daily basis.

The original video, which has been viewed over 19 million times, has been since deleted but not before Matt was able to watch the footage and respond by inviting Quaden to Roloff Farms.

“Let Quaden (and his mom) know they are welcome to swing by Roloff Farms for a full VIP tour and some encouragement on how wonderful being a little person can be,” Matt captioned his post, thanking those who brought Quaden to his attention.

And Matt is not the only star to reach out. Hugh Jackman also had a message for Quaden, sharing:

“Quaden, you are stronger than you know, man,” Hugh states. “And no matter what, you’ve got a friend in me. So everyone, let’s please be kind to each other. Bullying is not OK, period. Life is hard enough. So let’s just remember that every person you know is facing some kind of battle, so let’s just be kind.

In addition to Hugh Jackman’s post, Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan posted his own video message. “You have a bunch of friends out here, out in the world that you haven’t met yet who are here and we got your back,” he shared. “You need to know that it’ll get better.”

But it didn’t stop there. Comedian Brad Williams, who also has achondroplasia, set up a GoFundMe page to help send Quaden along with his mother to Disneyland.

“I’m setting up this GoFundMe to let Quaden know that bullying will not be tolerated, and that he is a wonderful human being who deserves joy,” he posted in the description of the fundraiser, which has raised over $460,000 in just three days.

This past Saturday, Quaden was also invited to lead the National Rugby League’s Indigenous All Stars team onto the field ahead of a game.

Quaden, walking out on to the field, held hands with the team captain, Joel Thompson.

Quaden’s mother said her son had gone “from the worst day of his life to the best day of his life,” according to the BBC.
