We were all heartbroken to learn that, after experiencing ongoing complications, cookbook author and Twitter queen Chrissy Teigen lost her third child late in her pregnancy. The former model has bravely shared her grief with the world and just posted a touching thank you note to her dear friends who are showing up to honor her loss.
In memory of late baby Jack, seven of Teigen’s friends donated blood at a Halloween drive to replace the seven pints she received during her hospital stay. Manicurist Kimmie Kyees led the pack with heartfelt photos from the blood drive.

“Ok, I tried writing this 4 times but the tears were too much. Here we go again, with my heart full of warmth and happiness,” shared Teigen on Instagram. “My friend @kimmiekyees sent me this with the caption ‘Me and 6 of my friends donated blood to replace the 7 pints you were given in the hospital, in honor of baby Jack. I love you friend.'”
“Phewwwww the tears. I’m overwhelmed by our circle of friends,” added Teigen. “The love I feel for each and every person in our circle actually makes me ache.”
After experiencing the tragic loss, Teigen shared photos from the delivery room, taken by husband John Legend and her mother.
“We never decide on our babies’ names until the last possible moment after they’re born, just before we leave the hospital,” Teigen wrote on Instagram. “But we, for some reason, had started to call this little guy in my belly Jack. So he will always be Jack to us. Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever.”
The couple, who are proud parents to Luna and Miles, also shared their beautiful new tattoos, as a tribute to their late son.
