We Made Kelly Kapoor’s Delightful Cocktail Recipe From The Office

If you are a fan of The Office, you may or may not know that Kelly Kapoor has a signature cocktail recipe from the show. The drink is a twist on the classic Seven and Seven cocktail, which is Seagrams Seven Crown Whiskey and 7-UP. But Kelly’s very specific version of the cocktail is pink, girly, high maintenance, and full of sugar – perfect for her character on The Office. We made this delicious drink and you can see the easy cocktail recipe below!

One of the best episodes of the office is Casino Night when Jim and Pam have their first kiss. But there is another moment of the episode that gives us the scoop on another Office couple, Kelly and Ryan. In a scene at Casino Night, Ryan goes up to the bar to get a drink. He orders “one beer and a seven and seven with eight maraschino cherries, sugar on the rim, blended if you can.” Jim is next to Ryan at the bar and asks, “So that’s still going on, huh? You and Kelly?”

Diehard fans of the show remember this Ryan and Jim scene at the bar, and one recently reminded B.J. Novak, the actor known for playing Ryan Howard on The Office. On his Instagram account, he posted a photo of the cocktail with this caption: “Was just sent this at the bar. IYKYK.”

The post has over 100,000 likes, proving that fans of The Office remember Kelly’s cocktail recipe and were thrilled B.J. shared this moment with them. And Mindy Kaling even commented on the post, writing “I feel seen”.  B.J. Novak and Mindy Kaling remain friends long after The Office ended, and fans of the show love seeing them interact on social media.

Mindy appeared on The Kelly Clarkson Show to promote her new series, The Sex Lives of College Girls. Kelly then brought out the drink for her and Mindy to try on the show. Mindy said that she never had it before, and Kelly said that it tasted like the cherry slushy. Keep reading to see how to make this delicious drink!

The Kelly Kapoor cocktail recipe is sweeter and brighter than a typical Seven and Seven because she adds a ridiculous amount of maraschino cherries to her creation. It’s over-the-top and sugary, but we didn’t expect anything less of the hopelessly devoted office gossip. In our version of the cocktail recipe, we added some of the maraschino cherry juice to our recipe to give the drink a fun, pink hue.
