One dad is sharing the valuable lesson he learned while a customer at his young daughter’s restaurant. Chris Kyle is a father who recently tried out the newest hip restaurant near him called Ava’s Kitchen.

Ava is Kyle’s young daughter. And Ava’s Kitchen is what they call the kitchen section of her playroom.

“So I tried to support another Black Owned Business for lunch today. It’s called Ava’s Kitchen, just opened the end of April,” Kyle wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of him at Ava’s only table. “It’s a very clean establishment, but whewww let me tell you about this owner.”

Kyle then when on to give an adorable critic of his daughter’s new restaurant.

“First off, I asked why there are balloons on my chair, and it’s not my birthday? She talk ’bout, mind yah business; those are Mommy’s.”

Kyle also had to complain about how long the wait was until Ava brought him his food.

“I been waiting on my order to get done for 45 minutes, and I’m the only customer here. She was making good progress at first, then she stopped for 20 minutes to go watch Paw Patrol,” Kyle wrote. Honestly, we can’t fault her for not wanting to miss an episode of her favorite show.

“Overall the customer service could be better, but the cook is a cutie,” the dad concluded. “So I’ll give her another chance.” And that is how other people should act when choosing other black-owned businesses.

“Let’s not give up on Black businesses so fast after one mistake,” Kyle urged.

And as he promised, Kyle did give Ava’s Kitchen a second chance. And this time she knocked it out of the park. “Just pulled back up to Ava’s Kitchen after she went viral this past weekend and whewww, she got a line down the block y’all! ???? Won’t He do it!”

And while Kyle makes a very important point, can we also talk about how cute this father-daughter relationship is. We can understand why it’s impossible to tell little Ava “no.”
