Drake told his over 65 million followers at the time, “What is most important for you right now is to connect to your own inner light. This will create the biggest opening of all. “It was great for me. It was great for us to just share that with the world,” he shared. “I just woke up one morning and I was like, you know what? This is just something that I want to do.”
Drake added that he also doesn’t want his status of “celebrity” to directly affect how he lives life as a father. “I don’t want to feel like just because of a life choice I made to be a ‘celebrity’ that I got to make everybody live under this blanket… I just wanted to free myself of that.”
The rapper also applauded the host, Wayne Carter, for inspiring him when it came to fatherhood. “I could just tell the way your kids would stare at you that the time and effort that you put in as a father,” Drake said. “So, that was really inspiring for me just to know that I can still keep pushing forward as a musician and be there for my son.”
Since taking to Instagram in March, Drake hasn’t shared any other photos of his son.
