On Christmas day, Erin Pascal, 40, and her two children were found dead in a parking garage in Massachusetts. Police are now investigating the deaths as a murder-suicide.
According to Suffolk County police, it’s suspected that Pascal pushed or threw her children from the top story of the Renaissance Park Garage near Northeastern University. Her two children, Allison, 4, and Andrew, 16 months, died as a result of the impact.
After Pascal threw the children over the ninth-floor railing of the parking garage, she jumped and killed herself, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Rachel Rollins.
“The unspeakable happened and now we are all struggling to make sense of circumstances surround these deaths,” Rollins told WCVB.

Pascal and her husband, Adam, had allegedly had an argument before she left their Boston-area home with their two children, according to sources. Her husband called the police after the argument and told them that she might be suicidal. Not long after, the three bodies were discovered outside the parking garage located near Northeastern.
“For a parent to come to a place in which they harm their children in this way, indicates that their mental health struggles were severe and in need of immediate supports. Mental health issues are not specific to one type of individual. It has many faces. This Christmas Day tragedy demonstrates the urgency of addressing mental health,” Rollins told WCVB.

“This is a horrible tragedy for this family on this Christmas Day,” Boston Mayor Marty Walsh tweeted after the incident. “My prayers and deepest sympathies are with them.”
Friends of Adam Pascal launched a GoFundMe campaign to support him and raise money for funeral and other costs associated with the tragedy. It so far has raised north of $127,000, far surpassing its initial goal of $75,000.
