Jenelle Evans, who lost custody of her three children last week after her husband, David Eason, shot and killed their dog in May, continues to work to regain custody of her three children, including the couple’s young daughter, Ensley.
After losing custody, the couple has been in court-ordered therapy sessions to address their issues. The couple will also be attending court-ordered parenting classes before they can regain custody. However, it’s not always an easy road as proven by a recent supervised visit with their children. According to a recent Us Weekly story, David stormed out of the supervised visit after his oldest daughter, Maryssa, refused to see him.
Earlier this year, MTV announced it had severed its relationships with both Jenelle and David.
‘Teen Mom 2’ Star Kailyn Lowry Speaks Out Against Jenelle Evans
Jenelle’s ex-costar, Kailyn Lowry, spoke out against Jenelle and her husband. Kailyn provided an exclusive statement to People with her Coffee Convos podcast co-host Lindsie Christie, saying “We’ve been cautious when speaking on the issues regarding the Evans/Eason family until we had enough details to speak on the matter. The most important part of this situation & most concerning to us as fellow mothers is the safety of the children,” Lowry and Christie said. “After hearing the state of the home & things CPS uncovered, it is in the best interest of the children to remain outside of Jenelle and David Eason’s care. Wishing them nothing but the best & hoping all parties involved get the help they need to move forward.”
Jenelle Shares Sweet Photo of David and Daughter Ensley
As the couple continues to work towards regaining custody of their daughter, Ensley, Jenelle shared a sweet photo of David and his daughter over the weekend. Jenelle’s post came after her mom, Barbara, shared photos on Instagram of Ensley and Jace, 9, Evan’s son with ex Andrew Lewis. (Barbara currently has custody of both children.) Jenelle’s third child, Kaiser, is in the custody of her ex Nathan Griffith and his mother.

When I’m not hanging out with my three-year-old and husband in Brooklyn, I’m busy writing stories for Mamas Uncut and managing PR + Marketing for Magnolia Bakery, based in New York City. On weekends, you can usually find me at a local park or playground pushing my daughter on the swings, “researching” the best almond croissants in Park Slope or launching into impromptu family dance parties at home, the sidewalk or, every once in awhile, a restaurant bathroom. I’m still trying to master the whole parenting thing, but I have learned that copious amounts of coffee, humor and humility are involved on a daily basis.
