Joy-Anna Forsyth is sharing her latest birth experience on YouTube and people can’t stop talking about the tender moment the mom of two shared with her newborn daughter the first moment she got to hold her. As Mamas Uncut previously reported, last year, in June 2019, Joy suffered a devastating miscarriage at 20-weeks pregnant. She was also expecting a baby girl then as well.
Then on August 21, Joy-Anna and her husband Austin Forsyth met their rainbow baby for the first time. And while they immediately announced their baby girl’s birth, Joy and Austin didn’t immediately share the name they gave her.
Joy-Anna and Austin Forsyth Cry As They Meet Their Daughter for the First Time
“I wanted her name to be perfect and elegant,” Joy-Anna wrote on an Instagram. And because of that pressure, they admitted to having a “hard time deciding” on their little girl’s moniker. Eventually, they decided on Evelyn Mae Forsyth, or Evy Mae, for short.
As Joy’s YouTube video reveals, she labored for seven hours before embracing little Evelyn for the first time. “We have a baby,” Joy-Anna exclaimed. “I can’t believe it. I did it.”
“You did it, babe,” Austin replied to his bride as he became overcome with emotion. “She is beautiful.” Evelyn was born at 2:12 p.m. weighing 8lbs 5oz and is 19.5” long. “She has the best personality, is easy going, and loves to be held,” Joy said of her little girl at the time.
As Joy-Anna begins to ask Austin and the nurses around her if her daughter is okay, she gets her first glimpse of her little one and is amazed by how much hair she has. In the video, viewers also learn that she was posterior at birth. “You little stinker,” Joy-Anna said with a smile on her face while talking to Evelyn. “You were trying to teach mama a lesson.”
Recently, Joy-Anna shared a still photo from the moment that was capture on video and shared on YouTube. “Leading up to Evelyn’s birth, this is the moment I was looking forward to the most, holding her in my arms for the first time,” the mom wrote on Instagram. “In the end, it didn’t matter how she got here, as long as mom and baby were healthy!”
Evelyn joins her big brother, 2-year-old Gideon, to make the Forsyths a family of four!
