Justin Combs Arrested and Charged With DUI After Running a Red Light Near Beverly Hills

Justin Combs, the eldest son of Sean Combs (also known as Diddy) and Misa Hylton, was arrested at around 9 a.m. on Sunday (June 4) on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). The 29-year-old allegedly ran a red light before being pulled over by a Los Angeles police officer near Beverly Hills, CA.

While it’s unclear what sobriety tests were conducted, police officers had reasonable suspicion that Combs was driving under the influence. They arrested, booked, and charged him with a misdemeanor DUI charge. He was released on his own recognizance several hours later – his bond was set at $5,000.

The incident was caught on video as Justin Combs spoke with police officers on the side of the road. He didn’t resist arrest and cooperated with the police up until his release at 12:30 p.m.. Justin, his father (Diddy), and his mother (Misa) have yet to comment on the incident, now three days after the fact.

Not long after news of his arrest went viral, Justin Combs’ mother, Misa Hylton, took to her Instagram Story to share some words directed at her son’s father, Diddy – and she didn’t hold back. In a sudden rant, the 50-year-old fashion designer accused Diddy of being a poor influence on their 29-year-old son.

“I’m not protecting no one anymore, just my son,” she wrote in her Story. “The statement ‘a fish rots from the head down’ means that, in addition to being a major contributing factor in a family or organization’s success, leadership is also the root cause of its failure and demise. The Truth shall set you free.”

She also referenced Diddy’s newest single ‘Act Bad’ featuring City Girls and Fabolous – which he released a few weeks ago. “Act BAD BAD boy I used to want to be a BAD Girl I chose to be a QUEEN Tried and true. I’m not perfect but I am INTENTIONAL,” Hylton wrote in a separate Instagram Story.

The rant didn’t end there. She also called out UCLA – the school her son graduated from and played football at – though it’s unclear what the school has to do with his arrest (if anything). Ending her rant, she questioned Diddy for going from ‘one of the greatest to ever do it to making all your money off alcohol.’

Justin Combs is One of Diddy’s Seven Children

Justin Combs was born on December 30, 1993, and is Sean Combs’ eldest child – he’s also Diddy’s only child with Misa Hylton, who he dated between 1992 and 1995. Justin joined the UCLA football team in 2012 and saw action in seven games between 2013 and 2014 on special teams and at cornerback.

Outside of Justin, Diddy is the father of six other children with three different women. He welcomed a son, Christian (born April 1, 1998), and twin daughters, D’Lila Star and Jessie James (born December 21, 2006) with Kimberley Porter, and also adopted her son, Quincy (born 1991), from a past relationship.

Diddy also welcomed a daughter, Chance (born July 20, 2006), with Sarah Chapman – roughly five months before he welcomed his twins with Porter. He most recently welcomed his seventh child – a daughter named Love Sean – on October 15, 2022 with cybersecurity professional, Dana Tran.
