Pregnant Katy Perry Posts Madonna-Inspired Maternity Met Gala To Instagram

Katy Perry recently took to Instagram to reveal her Madonna-inspired maternity outfit she would have sported had the 2020 Met Gala not been cancelled this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The pregnant singer who is expecting her first child with fiancé Orlando Bloom this summer posted a picture of the stunning corset she planned to wear to the fashion-forward evening.

The Jean Paul Gaultier copper-colored look involved a cone bra along with a matching bump cover, a homage to the corset the French designer created for Madonna’s Blonde Ambition tour back in 1990.

“what would have been… #TheMetBall2020,” Perry captioned the shot.

Prior to sharing her Met Ball 2020 look, Perry dawned an entirely different outfit of the toilet paper variety to direct fans to tune into American Idol where the pop superstar sensation is a judge.
