Kourtney Kardashian and Kim Kardashian have had a strained relationship since Kim partnered with Dolce & Gabanna in September 2022. Kourtney took exception to the partnership because it came just a few months after the luxury fashion house sponsored her Italian wedding with Travis Barker in May.
Their strained relationship was a big storyline during Season 3 of The Kardashians on Hulu and continued to be a big storyline during the premiere of Season 4 – which kicked off on Thursday (September 28). In the first episode, the family was taking a trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, but Kourtney wasn’t a part of it.
One of the biggest storylines in Episode 1 of Season 4 was a phone call between Kourtney and Kim, which ended up reigniting the Dolce & Gabbana drama. The heated argument resulted in Kourtney telling it like it is – she’s only interested in positive vibes and she doesn’t get those vibes when around the family.
The phone call grew fierce when Kim Kardashian brought up the fact that she was going to Milan as part of her partnership with Dolce & Gabbana and invited Kourtney Kardashian to the dinner. Kourtney politely declined the invitation and said she would always support her, but voiced her frustration with the ordeal.
Kim was confused at why Kourtney was upset because she wasn’t in talks with Dolce & Gabbana at the time of the wedding. “I think it was what you saw at the wedding because nobody had any interest before that…. You saw this thing that was mine and wasn’t yours, and you wanted it,” Kourtney responded.
Kim defended her partnership and denied her sister’s claims, adding that she did everything she could not to copy anything from her wedding – though she did say her wedding theme wasn’t that original to begin with. That’s when Kourtney went off on Kim and criticized her ‘egotistical’ and ‘selfish’ way of thinking.
“You cannot stand someone else being the center of attention. You came to my wedding, you couldn’t be happy, you complained from the second you got there till the second you left… you couldn’t be happy for me, you couldn’t be happy that I was the center of attention,” Kourtney said to her sister on the phone.
Kim Kardashian Says Kourtney Kardashian is a ‘Different Person’
The phone call continued with Kim Kardashian accusing Kourtney Kardashian of having a ‘serious vendetta’ against her and the rest of the family. She questioned why Kourtney hated her so much and even described Kourtney as a ‘different person’ – something that hasn’t gone unnoticed in the family.
“Because I don’t need you guys anymore, I don’t need to be a part of it,” Kourtney responded. Kim stayed on the offensive and claimed that she has a group chat labeled ‘Not Kourtney’ where the family and even Kourt’s friends talk about how she has changed. Apparently, everyone has complaints about her attitude.
Kim tried to explain that she’s doing everything she can to reconcile with her and find common ground, but Kourtney wasn’t hearing it. “It’s about you, you are a narcissist. It is all about you. Anything you do, it’s about you and how it looks to the world about you,” she said. Kim then asked Kourtney if she’s happy.

“Yes, but not when I’m on the phone with you. I have a happy life and that happiness comes when I get the f— away from you guys. Specifically you,” Kourtney responded – later calling Kim a ‘f***ing witch’ and telling her she ‘f***ing hate[s] [her].’ Well, The Kardashians is back and Season 4 should be a good one.
