Lisa Marie Presley‘s son and Elvis Presley‘s grandson has passed away. According to a coroner who confirmed his death to TMZ, Benjamin Keough was just 27 years old.
The young musician died by suicide via a gunshot wound. His mother, sister, actress Riley Keough, and his twin siblings are rattled by the news of Ben’s passing a rep for Lisa Marie told Entertainment Tonight.
“Lisa Marie is completely heartbroken, inconsolable, and beyond devastated but trying to stay strong for her 11-year-old twins and her oldest daughter, Riley. She adored that boy. He was the love of her life.”

Keough reportedly lived a pretty private lifestyle aside from dabbling in acting and music like his mom, dad, and grandfather. According to TMZ, back in 2009, Keough signed a record deal worth $5 million. It’s unclear if any music came from that deal.
His father, Danny Keough, has not yet made a public statement. However, his uncle, Navarone Garibaldi, did. “On behalf of everyone Ben touched: We are all shocked and heartbroken to have lost such a caring, compassionate soul. It’s absolutely devastating. We appreciate everyone’s support and understanding at this time. He will always be a part of us.”
The grieving mom last posted a photo of her son on June 20, 2019. It was a family photo in which Lisa captioned it, “Mama Lion with cubs.”
Many marveled at how much Ben resembles his late grandfather, the legendary Elvis Presley. And as TMZ reported, Lisa agreed.
“Ben does look so much like Elvis. He was at the Opry and was the quiet storm behind the stage. Everybody turned around and looked when he was over there. Everybody was grabbing him for a photo because it is just uncanny.”
Ben was found on July 12 in Calabasas, California. Neither Lisa nor his older sister Riley have taken to their respective accounts to talk about his unexpected passing yet.
