When it comes to her postpartum body, Mina Starsiak Hawk admits it’s something she’s proud of and rightfully so. As the Good Bones star revealed on Instagram with a photo of herself six days after giving birth, her body continues to change and she’s focusing on being patient with herself.
During her “Monday soapbox moment,” Mina Starsiak Hawk shared two photos of herself from the same day. Both of the photos were taken at very different angles and the first photo shows herself sucking it in, which was “suuuuper unpleasant post c-section, FYI.”

“Just food for thought. Both are ME obviously, the first is just posed and sucked in,” she explained. “The rest are me, at rest… in my diaper, because yes, you have to wear a diaper after giving birth because things just come out. There’s no room for modesty after childbirth.”
Mina then went on to ask women to be easy on themselves when it comes to body image and when they compare themselves to others on social media. “Next time you wish you looked like this or dressed like that, or had it ALL together like so many of the influencers we follow, just remember…. you’re only being shown what they want you to see; part of them for sure, but usually not the whole story,” Mina wrote.
“So be kind to yourselves and to those you might be quick to judge based solely on social media,” she concluded before adding that she hopes her “soapbox moment” helped “at least a couple of you feel good this Monday!!!”
And as a result, hundreds of women thanked Mina for her transparency. “Thank you for your transparency,” one commenter wrote. “We need more people like you!”

“As a labor and delivery nurse and a mother, I applaud you! I tell my patients it took nine months to get your body in the shape to hold your baby. It’s going to take nine months at least to bring your body back without the baby. Sometimes there are just things we have to accept to get the gifts we want! LOL, you look great girl,” another commenter added.
Mina Starsiak Hawk and her husband Steve Hawk welcomed their second child into the world on Wednesday, her rep confirmed only to People. The baby girl they named Charlie was born at 10:14 a.m and weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces, and measured 18.5 inches long. The actress and Steve are also parents of a 2-year-old boy named Jack.
