Paris Jackson has been dealing with an alleged stalker/intruder for several years now, but it wasn’t until Sept. 4 that the Los Angeles Police Department stepped in and arrested him after he showed up at her home in the LA area. The man they arrested earlier this month was identified as Ruben Polanco, 37.
According to TMZ, Polanco has been charged with four misdemeanor offenses – including stalking and prowling – and is now sitting in jail on $20,000 bail. The LAPD Threat Management Team is currently investigating the incident, but it appears Polanco showed up at her house and got into it with her security.
Luckily, her security team was able to keep Polanco at bay until police arrived – which is when they arrested him. It’s not the first time Jackson has dealt with the stalker and not the first time the intruder showed up on her property, but it is the first time LA police officers were able to do something about it.
According to police officers, Ruben Polanco has now shown up on Paris Jackson’s property four times this year alone. He was allegedly on her property on January 1, 2023, but didn’t return again until August – when he showed up twice. His repeated stalkings have left Jackson feeling very uneasy when at home.
Police were called to her home in late August when one of her friend’s – who was staying at the house at the time – spotted an intruder in the backyard. Paris wasn’t home when the police arrived and the intruder had already taken off, but TMZ was told that Jackson’s friend confronted the intruder before running off.
In an effort to put an end to all of this, Paris Jackson filed a restraining order against the intruder after he climbed her fence and peeped into her windows on August 23. She confirmed in the legal docs that she doesn’t know who the intruder is, but she has seen him before and he’s likely to return if he isn’t stopped.
Jackson requested that the intruder be kept at least 100 yards away from her, her home, her car, and any venue where she performs. She also requested that he be prohibited from sending her messages online – further alleging that he has been sending her messages online since December 2019 (four years ago).
Paris Jackson Shields Off Criticism Multiple Times in Past Month
Paris Jackson can’t seem to catch a break. Not only is she dealing with the unfortunate stalker-intruder situation at home, but she’s facing criticism after criticism online – despite doing nothing wrong time and again. Most recently, she got smalled by online trolls for posting an unfiltered video without any makeup.
“This is no filter, no makeup and regular lighting for the people that wrote really s—ty comments about how old and haggard I look in my last video. I am literally 25. Just young and haggard thank you very much,” she said of those who criticized her appearance. Say what you want, but she doesn’t care.
On August 29, she was forced to shield off trolls yet again when she posted a video regarding her late father, Michael Jackson, and his birthday. At one point in the video, she tied her hair back and exposed her unshaved armpits – something many people were quick to point out and even criticize her for.

“i wasn’t tying my hair up to show off my armpit hair. i’ve not shaved it for years and forget it’s there all the time. get over yourselves. i was pulling my hair up to show my glass cutting jawline,” she wrote on Twitter. She also received criticism for not celebrating her father’s birthday in August, but she later explained why.
