The Pioneer Woman’s family is about to grow by one! No, none of Ree Drummond‘s children are expecting their own children, but her oldest daughter is engaged to be married.
In an Instagram post shared by her 23-year-old daughter Alex, the young woman revealed that she said yes to forever with her longtime love, Mauricio. Based on the pictures Alex shared publicly on Instagram, it appears as though Mauricio set up a surprise proposal area near a beautiful fountain surrounded by foliage.
“Still waiting for someone to pinch me??!?!,” Alex wrote. “Mauricio Scott is the sweetest picture of God’s goodness and provision. And I get to spend FOREVER with him!! I love you, fiancé!!!!!!!”
The Pioneer Woman’s Oldest Daughter Is Engaged
In a comment left in the comments section of Alex’s post, both Ree and Alex’s younger sister Paige offered their public congratulations. “So happy!,” the pioneer woman wrote, while Paige said, “I’LL NEVER GET OVER THIS!!!! I love you guys so much! The best day ever.”
Ree also took to her own Instagram account to also share photos from the special day. The soon-to-be mother-in-law wrote, “These two are gonna have so much fun together. We love you, Alex and Mauricio!”
According to Today, Alex and Mauricio met during their freshman year at Texas A&M. Both of their families were reportedly hiding nearby has Mauricio proposed to Alex. The private moment between the couple ended when Alex said “Yes” to forever and their families came out of their hiding spots to celebrate with them.
“I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you Alex Marie Drummond!!!” Mauricio wrote on Instagram. “You are the most incredible person and I am so undeserving to be your hubby one day! I love you fiancé!!”
The couple graduated from Texas A&M last May.
