After Filing a Restraining Order, A Mom-of-Three Was Shot and Killed by Her Estranged Husband in Front of her Children and Mother

Tiffany Hill, a mom-of-three, was shot and killed by her estranged husband in front of her children and mother.

According to The Clark County Sheriff’s Office in Washington, Hill was in the parking lot of her kid’s elementary school when her estranged husband, Keland Hill, shot her and then himself.

Hill had a restraining order against her ex. At the time of the shooting, Keland was out on bail pending a court hearing.

Before the shooting, Tiffany feared for her life. “If he had a gun and got angry and drunk enough, he would definitely use it against me,” she wrote when filing for the restraining order against her husband. Court records also show Keland had a history of abusing Tiffany. At one point, Keland allegedly locked Tiffany out of their bedroom and threw her against a wall. She suffered a concussion as a result.

In addition to shooting Tiffany, Keland also shot her mother three times. She has had multiple surgeries and is expected to survive.

Tabitha Ojeda, the victim’s sister, set up a GoFundMe page in support of the family. Ojeda said that she and her other sister will take care of Tiffany’s children.

“The road the children have ahead of them is not an easy one,” Ojeda wrote on the site. “This journey will not be easy, it will be emotionally, physically, mentally and financially draining, but with all the love and support we can try to give these children the best lives we possibly can.”
