Meghan Markle Makes Her First Public Appearance Following the Birth of Prince Archie

Meghan Markle, the new royal mom we can’t get enough of, made her first public appearance since giving birth to her baby boy Archie Harrison. In official celebration of Queen Elizabeth‘s 93rd birthday (which occurred in April), Meghan and Prince Harry attended the Trooping the Colour event on Saturday.

The glowing new parents departed Buckingham Palace in a horse-drawn carriage, along with Kate Middleton and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall. The Duchess of Sussex, who has chosen to remain out of the public eye after giving birth, rocked a navy Givenchy dress and overcoat gifted to her by her wedding dress designer Clare Waight Keller.

Completing the look, Meghan added a navy hat by Noel Stewart and a new diamond eternity band that caught everyone’s eye. The latest bling is said to be an anniversary gift from Prince Harry.

According to the couple’s official Instagram page, Trooping the Colour originated from traditional preparations for battle and has commemorated the birthday of the sovereign for more than 250 years. Today, more than 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians come together on Horse Guards Parade in London in a great display of military precision, horsemanship, and fanfare.

Recent reports claim that, although he was not photographed at the event, month-old Archie Harrison was, in fact, in attendance. “[It] was a chance for him to meet some of his cousins,” a source said.

Fingers crossed we get another glimpse of Archie soon!
