So, whether you’re a die-hard Britney fan looking for tattoo inspiration or simply curious about the ways in which pop culture influences body art, this collection is sure to captivate you.
‘I Know I May Be Young’
Some of the most popular Britney Spears tattoos are inspired by her “I’m a Slave 4 U” performance at the 2001 VMAs. Spears was at the height of popularity and she did not disappoint!
‘But I Have Feelings Too”
Here’s another take from the performance. And, trust, there will be more like it.
‘Oops… I Did It Again’
Part of the music video for smash hit “Oops… I Did It Again” is set on Mars. Britney Spears is clad in a red body suit that is nothing short of iconic.
If you’re unafraid of color, we encourage you to go with red. Of all the ink colors, it pops the most.
So so many Britney Spears tattoos are from the era when she shaved her head. It was such a punk rock move. In this tattoo, we have a sort of before and after split.
One Britney Spears line rings louder than all the others. It’s included in countless tattoos. She really did that.
Here’s a tattoo inspired by the music video where Britney is found deep in thought in a classroom. This song and its music video are the subject of thousands of tattoos.
More Love for the VMA Performance
How about a full sleeve dedicated to Britney? Don’t mind if we do! This colorful and vibrant design is so full of style and energy.
Our dancing diva really knocked folks’ socks off with her moves in the “Baby One More Time” music video. Her saccharine-sweet hairstyle might be copied, but it will never be replicated. Expect to see more like this.
How cool is this? Britney is to blame for the low-rise jeans trend that swept the early aughts. We find her in a pair in a tattoo that captures her motion. What a dream!
Kewpie tattoos have been popular for decades. They are indeed very cute. This one is wearing the legendary “Baby One More Time” outfit. What a winner!
The Princess of Pop knocked audiences dead with the “Baby One More Time” video, and it continues to resonate with her fans to this day. We love the addition of spotted hearts.
With a Taste of a Poison Paradise
Now, most Britney fans will want a complete celebration of the star. However, you might be looking for something more subtle. A little bottle of toxic poison could be just the thing.
Well, we can’t argue with that. If you are ever unsure about something, ask yourself, “What would Britney do?”
Bald-era Britney is beloved. There’s a touch of irony in these designs but we think they come from a place of love.
This person got creative with the “Baby One More Time” album cover. The morbid lyrics contrast with the sweet heart imagery. A blast!
Mother Is Captain
Britney Spears played an air steward in her “Toxic” music video. The job has never looked so glamorous.
Another transmission from Mars finds Britney breaking hearts. At least she knows she has a problem.
She’s a Star
Stars light up this horseshoe tattoo inspired by the single “Lucky.” Surprisingly, the ballad doesn’t inspire too many tattoos. That means if the song is a favorite, you should go with something similar.
We find Britney looking a touch dead behind the eyes in this portrait tattoo. Have you ever seen cuter skulls?
Britney’s written signature is a popular choice among fans. Tattoos don’t get more adorable than this.
Here’s one of our favorite tattoos on this list. It’s done in a graffiti style, and if you look closely, you will find more lyrics inside.
A toxic angel in black and grey. This is a perfect study of light and shadow.
We told you this hairstyle had legs. People can’t get enough of it. Every single person who was alive in the 2000s will instantly recognize it.
Like a Photo
Finally, we have a photo-realist take. The still is from “Baby One More Time.” If you can find an artist with this level of skill, keep them close and tip them well.
There you go! We hope you feel inspired by these Britney Spears tattoos. For even more ink inspiration, keep reading. We’ve got the wildly popular artist Mashkow to introduce you to.
Not in Kansas Anymore
Hallmarks of Mashkv’s style include hyperrealism for pop culture figures along with graffiti-like lettering for words that get plastered on the face like they would a wall. We’ve never seen Dorothy quite like this.
Greetings from Bikini Bottom
While most of Mashkov’s tattoos are portraits of real people, he sometimes veers into animated territory reproducing beloved toons in creative and offbeat ways. SpongeBob and Patrick look like they’ve been through it!
Sometimes Mashkov revisits characters from the same movie more than once. This is the first set of Beetlejuice-inspired tattoos we share with you but it won’t be the last.
Mashkov really leans into the catchphrases and sayings that the famous people he is portraying often say and uses them for the graffiti bits.
An artist on an artist for this portrait of Bob Ross who seems to have rainbow-colored paint dripping from his mouth. How about that lovely landscape in his hair?
Say “hello” to Steve Harrington, your fave from Stranger Things. Isn’t this a fun one? Our favorite part is “the hair.” Hilarious!
The Lost Boy
Kiefer Sutherland looks rather diabolical here in this tattoo inspired by the movie The Lost Boys. A real “creature of the night” indeed.
More Lydia Deetz
As promised, here’s another Mashkov tattoo inspired by Beetlejuice. For fans of the movie, this tattoo is sure to delight.
Sometimes you have to look hard for it, but Mashkov always “signs” his tattoos with his Mashkow handle. You will find it on Keanu Reeve’s collar in this example.
Here’s a more conceptual example of Mashkov’s work, a tattoo of Medusa the likes of which we have never seen. Take a look at that Greek decorative detail at the bottom of the neck. Genius!
Try as many of us might to forget Ace Ventura Pet Detective, someone has clearly still got some love for it. Alrighty then!
The Fifth Element
Mila Jovovich‘s likeness is great in this Mashkov tattoo inspired by the sci-fi movie The Fifth Element. We love the inclusion of the flying taxi cab here.
Many of Mashkov’s tattoos are nostalgic love letters to our inner child. 1985’s The Goonies has inspired this design that finds friends, Sloth and Chunk paired together.
Blink 182 drummer, Travis Barker, a person who personally has a ton of tattoos, has inspired this one. There is so much energy and movement in this one.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit has some iconic imagery and one has always stuck with us. It’s the. bulging eyes of Judge Doom that really spooked us as kids.
Part Spider-Man portrait, part love letter to New York City, this fun superhero Mashkov tattoo is a masterpiece of light and shadow. Which superhero would you get a tattoo of?
Here’s another Mashkov tattoo of a beloved comic turned film. We think Wesley Snipes looks utterly fantastic here.
As we mentioned, Mashkov sometimes tattoos characters from animated properties. Fans of Rick and Morty, eat your heart out.
We find multi-hyphenate Kid Cudi lovingly tattooed in this example. His music has inspired the words plastered all over his face.
A Mutant Ninja Turtle
Cowabunga, dude! Here’s a blast from the past that likely takes you back to your childhood, Mashkov-style. Now, we’re craving pizza.
This has to be one of our favorite Mashkov tattoos as it really nails Macaulay Culkin‘s likeness. It’s Kevin from Home Alone like we’ve never seen him before.
The Flubber reboot was a complete flop for Disney but we always had a soft spot for it thanks to the comedic genius of Robin Williams. It gets a boost from the hopeful quote, “Words can change the world.”
Casino is one of the best movies set in Las Vegas. Martin Scorsese really did the thing! We love this portrait of Robert De Niro complete with Aces on his lapels.
Fans of Peaky Blinders are some of the most dedicated out there. We stumble across tattoos inspired by the series all the time. But, we’ve never seen anything like this. Tommy Shelby looks as tough as nails.
