Caitlyn Jenner Says She Never Talks to Kris Jenner Anymore

Caitlyn Jenner recently sat down for an interview with This Morning – a British daytime talk show on ITV – to promote her upcoming documentary (a three-part tell-all about the family). During the interview, she gave us an update on her relationships within the Kardashian-Jenner family and where they stand today.

The 73-year-old still has a good relationship with Kylie Jenner and Kendall Jenner – her two daughters, who she shares with ex-wife Kris Jenner – but she admits she doesn’t talk to the rest of the family all that much. In fact, she doesn’t even talk to her ex-wife anymore unless it’s through their respective managers.

“When you have as many kids as I have, you’re closer to some than you are to others… I certainly see them and we do this and that,” she told This Morning on Wednesday. “I’m much closer to the Jenner side, but Kris, I don’t really have any more contact with her. It’s kind of sad because we went through a lot.”

Caitlyn Jenner (then-Bruce Jenner) and Kris Jenner were married for 24 years between 1991 and 2015 – they separated in October 2013, filed for divorce in September 2014, and had the divorce finalized in March 2015. One month later (April 2015), Caitlyn came out as trans and started undergoing surgeries.

Unfortunately, things have been rocky between Caitlyn and Kris in the years since their divorce. “Kris, I really never talk to anymore,” she said. “If there’s any communication, my manager kind of talks to her,” Caitlyn said in her This Morning interview – describing the current state of their relationship as ‘very sad.’

She reflected on how their relationship started more than three decades ago. Caitlyn was just turning 40 years old, had been single for six years, and was ‘really kind of struggling with myself and who I was and how I fit into the world’ in 1990 when she first met Kris on a blind date – things moved quick from there.

We hit it off from day one. Was it love at first sight? Pretty close to that, yes. I was totally impressed with her and how she lived her life — she had four kids, I had four kids… and we got married five and a half months later. It was very quick,” Caitlyn said. They built an empire together over the next two decades.

Caitlyn Jenner to Release ‘House Of Kardashian’ on Oct. 8

In just a few days (October 8), Caitlyn Jenner will be releasing her newest three-part tell-all series titled House of Kardashian. The documentary will showcase the various family dynamics, scandals, personal struggles, and controversial business deals between the Kardashian-Jenner family through the years.

We can expect to see a different side of the story than we’re used to seeing, especially those who have followed Keeping Up With the Kardashians between 2007 and 2021, and The Kardashians between 2022 and present day. It’s important to note that the Kardashian family has no editorial control of the new doc.

“You know the Kardashian side and a little bit of the Jenner side, but I think a lot of times in the media you get totally misrepresented, so I wanted to do it just to say first of all how much I love my kids, and second of all how proud I am of them and what they’ve been able to accomplish. It is an amazing story,” she said.

If you’re expecting Caitlyn Jenner to talk bad about her family, then you’ve got the wrong idea about what this documentary is all about. Even though Kris Jenner doesn’t like that the documentary is being made, Caitlyn wants to showcase all the positivity surrounding the Kardashian-Jenner family through the years.
