Fans of Fixer Upper, the HGTV home improvement megahit, all want to take a trip to Waco, Texas. Waco is home base for Chip and Joanna Gaines and their Magnolia empire. Now, fans making the trip will have someplace special to stay: a brand new hotel!

The Gaines are officially opening a hotel in Waco, Texas. We can’t wait to see what Chip and Joanna have in store and what beautiful design ideas they’ll bring to their accommodations.
Just steps from Magnolia Market, Chip and Joanna are renovating a 53,000 square foot office building into a hotel.
Chip and Joanna made the announcement on the Today Show, saying there would be three floors of hotel rooms, a restaurant, a rooftop terrace, and a grand ballroom. That’s a huge project!
According to a press release, “The hotel’s design will evoke Joanna’s affinity for timeless, classic details, while also preserving the building’s rich history and highlighting its distinctive architectural features.”
Chip and Joanna want you to find a home away from home when you stay at their hotel.
“Home is a feeling, created by and for the people you love and share your life with; it’s a state of being known and loved just as you are,” the press release stated.
“That is our dream for this hotel — that it would serve as an extension of the way we feel about our own home and all it represents to us, and that every guest who comes to stay would experience that same sense of belonging and community.”
If the hotel features decor from the Magnolia Home line at Target, we know it’ll be wonderfully homey.
This ain’t Chip and Joanna’s first hospitality rodeo.
Fans of Fixer Upper will recall that Chip and Joanna opened Magnolia House Bed and Breakfast a few years ago. If the hotel is anything like their first hospitality project, we’re in for a treat. The B&B had months-long waiting times for a stay in one of its rooms.
With a 53,000 square foot hotel, Chip and Joanna should be able to accommodate many more excited fans and friends.
These people have charm to spare! We can’t wait.

They’re not waiting long for “demo day!” According to Chip and Joanna Gaines, the hotel should debut in 2021. We’re excited to see what developments and updates the Gaines family will share with us.
