Jessica Simpson’s Family Is on the Mend After a Hellish Week of Illness

Jessica Simpson had a very rough few days after her family was laid out by high fevers, a stomach bug, a concussion, and more over the span of a week-and-a-half.

The family of five had “lots of puke, scare high fevers, coughing and a concussion to top it all off,” the multi-hyphenate star shared on Instagram.

“Maxi and Ace are resilient troopers. Now we all need some sleep,” she continued in the cation. “Eric and I are so relieved they are happy and healthy now.”

Simpson herself dealt with many pregnancy-related health issues while she was pregnant with her daughter Birdie last year. She shared that she had sciatica pain, a long bout of bronchitis, and ankle swelling so bad it made it difficult to get around.

She didn’t let the challenging pregnancy slow her down, though. After her youngest was born, Simpson started an intense diet and workout program that resulted in her losing 100 pounds.

“My mantra is you get lean in life, and strong in the gym. So the majority of the weight loss actually came from everything she did outside of the gym, and then everything in the gym is about toning and tightening,” Simpson’s trainer Harley Pasternak told People earlier this year.
