Kanye West Talks ‘White Lives Matter,’ Being Anti-Abortion, His Ex Kim Kardashian, and More in Candid Interview With Tucker Carlson

In a shocking development, Kanye West sat down with Fox News host Tucker Carlson for an interview that shed light on a number of topics surrounding the icon – including his anti-abortion stance, thoughts on Kim Kardashian, making his father proud, Lizzo, and ‘White Lives Matter.’

The first topic of discussion was his anti-abortion stance, which was triggered when Carlson pointed out a necklace Ye was wearing – it featured a sonogram photo of a fetus. “It just represents life. I’m pro-life,” said Kanye West when asked what the necklace means to him.

“I care about the fact that there are more Black babies being aborted than born in New York City at this point. 50 percent of Black death in America is abortion. So, I really don’t care about people’s responses. I perform for an audience of one, and that’s God,” the 45-year-old artist added.

Another major topic of discussion was the “White Lives Matter” shirt design that he debuted at the YZY SZN 9 fashion show, as part of Paris Fashion Week 2022. The design sparked a lot of criticism, but Ye doubled down on his vision and gave a fairly blunt response as to why he did it.

“And people say, well, as an artist you don’t have to give an explanation. But as a leader you do. So the answer to why I wrote ‘white lives matter’ on a shirt is because they do. It’s the obvious thing,” said Ye. “I do certain things from a feeling. I just channel the energy. It just feels right.”

In an Instagram post, Kanye shared a text message he received from his father, Ray West, who’s a former Black Panther. The caption added that it was the first time he made his father proud in 45 years. “My dad is the most brilliant person that I know,” said Kanye in the Fox interview.

Kanye has always had a strained relationship with his father, largely due to him being taken from his father at the hands of his ‘liberal’ mother, as explained by the hip-hop artist. Now several decades later, Ye and Ray West are making an effort to reconnect and bond.

Kanye West Also Talks Kim Kardashian and Lizzo

As part of the candid and bombshell interview, Kanye West opened up about his divorce from Kim Kardashian – comparing their relationship to his parent’s relationship. Much like his parents, Kim and Kanye rarely saw eye-to-eye and were always feuding with one another while together.

He also mentioned the unfair backlash he received when he purchased the home next to Kim and Pete Davidson – just so he can see his children. “The media ridiculed me for getting the house next door to Kim to see my children, and they even said that I was stalking her,” he said.

Finally, West mentioned his ‘good friend’ Lizzo and the amount of criticism she receives online over her weight loss. “Because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it’s actually unhealthy,” Kanye added. “It’s actually clinically unhealthy.”
