Well, we’ve reached peak health crisis!!! Kristen Bell filmed her husband, Dax Shepard removing a medical device from his hand. Why is the 45-year-old actor’s hand broken? It’s unclear.
Bell shared the video of the ‘surgery’ that was a family affair with her kids making comments and asking questions in the background. Apparently, the procedure was not performed by a doctor because the family is practicing social distancing.

“We’re on day ‘I can do my own surgery’ of quarantine,” Bell captioned the video.
The short video shows Shepard pulling a very long pin out of his hand which is encased in a cast. He’s getting advice from his doctor who he is on the phone with as he’s finishing the grizzly undertaking.
“Oh yeah, that feels… weird.”
The video starts with Shepard announcing he’s “commencing” the procedure.
As he pulls the pin out he says, “Oh yeah, that feels… weird.”
You can hear Bell gasp in horror and disbelief as Shepard inspects the pin. She then takes the pin from Shepard to take a closer look.
“It’s out, there’s no blood splattering anywhere,” Shepard tells the doctor. “I’m coming for your job, doctor. I’m gonna add pin removal to my resume now.”
At the sound of the word “blood,” one of their kids asks, “Can I see the pin? Is it covered in blood?”
“No…” Bell replies dryly reassuring her child that the metal pin is not covered in gore.

“Am I the worst patient you’ve ever had?”
After he’d removed the pin, Shepard asks the doctor on the phone, “Am I the worst patient you’ve ever had? I’m texting you nonstop, now, I’m pulling out the pins you put in…”
Bell recently opened up about the strain being quarantined has put on her and Shepard’s relationship. She told Katie Couric that “We’ve been at each other’s throats real bad.”
“We’ve gotten on each other’s last nerve these last couple days,” Bell later told Entertainment Tonight. “We’re doing much better now because were laughing about it. But when we were not laughing about it for the first couple of days, that’s the hard spot.”
Fortunately, it seems like the celebrity couple is surviving, at least.
The “surgery” video didn’t fill us with confidence that Bell and Shephard are thriving, however, it’s good to see that they can feel entertained by a basic medical procedure.
Bell and Shepard share two daughters Lincoln, 7, and Delta, 5, and the gruesome video didn’t seem to phase them much. We hope the entire family is doing well and staying healthy and happy in these strange times.
