Country Superstar Maren Morris and Her Husband Ryan Hurd Are Expecting Their First Child: Here’s Everything We Know So Far

Country stars Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd have something sweet to sing about! The musical couple is expecting their first child together, they announced on Instagram last week.

“The irony is just too rich that after a year of living in the ‘GIRL’ headspace, the universe would give us a baby boy to even things out. See you in 2020, little one.”

The couple “are really really excited to celebrate with a babymoon at the beginning of next year once her tour schedule calms down,” a source told People. “They are buying lots of baby clothes.”

Hurd also shared the exciting news on Instagram, saying, “MY BOYS CAN SWIM. BABY BOY HURD 2020! Look at her…cannot believe this life with this girl. Also, thank you George Constanza for this caption that I’ve been sitting on my entire life…”

Over the last couple of years, Morris’ profile in the music industry has risen considerably. She scored a massive hit as the vocalist on “The Middle,” which reached the upper echelons of the Billboard music charts. “The Bones,” from her album Girl, is also starting to take off on streaming and radio.

Morris also helped launch The Highwomen, a country supergroup also featuring Brandi Carlisle, Amanda Shires, and Natalie Hemby. In addition to making beautiful country music, the group hopes to make strides in improving country music’s relationship with its women artists, who are often ignored, neglected, and/or demeaned.

Congratulations on the first-time parents-to-be! Wishing them both the best of luck on their journey to parenthood and beyond!
