Rick Lax is a popular magician with a rather large following on Facebook. As the entertainer admitted, he “tries to post at least one awesome thing every single day” on his Facebook feed.
And on October 28, he chose to post a video of the moment he helped one mom create the most epic birthday surprise for her young son. As many of us have already experienced, celebrating a birthday during a pandemic is less than ideal.

Mom’s Magical Birthday Surprise for Son
But one mom managed to make her son’s birth extra special even if he didn’t get to celebrate with friends like he usually would. All she needed was some help from Rick Lax, a mall food court, a McDonald’s bag, a slew of gifts, and just a little bit of magic.
Just take a look at how Zander went from slumped on the food court table to all smiles in just three short minutes. As the video begins, Zander is seen waiting for his mom to bring his McDonalds’ order.
However, what would transpire left Zander with a birthday memory he will never forget. “It was his birthday, but of course we couldn’t have the bday party we wanted,” the mom told Facebook.
“Zander had been feeling down all day. So we worked up a little magic surprise to try and cheer him up. We didn’t know it would have this incredible effect!”
The video, so far, has over 1 million likes and nearly a half a million shares. And although some people have called out the legitimacy of the video, try looking at it as an idea.
With the pandemic not letting up any time soon, this could be the perfect little trick to pull off to make your own little one’s day super special. After all, it is safer than throwing a birthday party and quite honestly looks a lot more exciting!
