Patrick Mahomes is very ready to be a #GirlDad. That’s right, the quarterback for the Kansas City Chiefs and his fiancée, personal trainer Brittany Matthews, are expecting a daughter.
Mahomes and Matthews first announced they were expecting their first child together two weeks after announcing their engagement which took place after Mahomes and the Chiefs received their Super Bowl rings. The couple announced the big news while sharing a photo of their first sonogram.

Having just got engaged, Matthews revealed that they will wait until their little one is born before saying “I do.” “Mom and Dad taking a small detour to the wedding,” Brittany wrote on Instagram.
Now, the couple is sharing how they learned they are expecting a baby girl. In a short, but incredibly sweet, video shared on Instagram, the couple enlisted their fur babies to help.
Depending on whether they were expecting a boy or a girl, the dogs, Steele and Silver, dipped their paws in either pink or blue non-toxic paint. The adorable pups then walked down a white carpet revealing pink paw prints and letting their humans know that they are about to get a little sister.
As Matthew revealed, after sharing the news that they were expecting, their pups couldn’t be more excited for their family’s newest edition. “Baby Girl! P.S.— Yes, my dogs walked down a run way with pink paws for the reveal.”
Patrick Mahomes posted the same video, but with the caption, “My [heart].” Now, doesn’t that just melt your own heart. Matthews revealed in a comment that their baby girl, whose name has not yet been revealed, is “gonna be very very spoiled by” her daddy.
