Savannah Chrisley Dating Robert Shiver – Who Survived His Ex-Wife’s Alleged Plot to Murder Him in July: See Their First Photos Together

It seems like Savannah Chrisley and her new beau are doing well.

For the first time since revealing she is dating Robert Shiver, Chrisley has shared their first official photo together on Instagram.

She captioned the photos saying, “Sometimes… it just works.”

Savannah Chrisley is officially off the market. Speaking about her new romance on The Viall Files podcast on Thursday (September 14), the 26-year-old former Chrisley Knows Best star revealed that she’s dating 38-year-old Robert Shiver – a former college QB who now works at an insurance firm. 

The name might sound familiar to those who follow the news. In July, Shiver’s ex-wife (Lindsay Shiver) was arrested – along with her boyfriend and two others – for allegedly hiring a hitman to kill Robert while they were all in the Bahamas on vacation. They remain in custody as they await their next court date.

Lindsay allegedly sent a photo of Robert to a group chat that included her new lover, Terrance Bethel, and alleged hitman, Faron Newbold – in the text, she wrote ‘Kill him.’ The murder plot came just a few months after the couple filed for divorce, but now Robert is seeking sole custody of their three children.

Now, not even two months after his ex-wife tried to have him murdered, Robert Shiver is already moving on – with Savannah Chrisley. She says they’re still ‘getting to know each other’ and the relationship is still ‘very, very’ new, but she’s happy.

As for how the two came to be, Savannah admitted to sliding into his DMs. “He’s too hot to die. Look, the picture with his kids? He was so good-looking,” she said of her new beau. When asked what she likes most about him, she said it’s ‘his heart, and the ability to listen and to understand and communicate.’ 

Robert shares three children – sons Grayson, 11, Landon, 10, and Rhett, 4 – with his ex-wife, Lindsay. While Savannah doesn’t have any children of her own, she’s currently caring for her 16-year-old brother, Grayson Chrisley, and her 10-year-old niece, Chloe Chrisley – who her parents adopted in 2017. 

When asked about his children, Savannah remained professional. “There’s kids involved,” she said – referring to Robert’s three children. “I just have so much respect for them that I would never say, ‘This is what happened. That’s what happened.’ That’s for them to talk about when they’re ready to talk about it.”

Savannah Chrisley Hasn’t Had a Serious Relationship in Three Years

Savannah Chrisley is no stranger to searching for love, but she has struggled to find the one in years past. Her most recent relationship was with former hockey player, Nic Kerdiles, and they met in a similar fashion to her newest romance with Robert Shiver – through Instagram. She initially met Nic in 2017. 

The former couple started dating and eventually got engaged in April 2019, but it didn’t last long. They called off their wedding in June 2020 but admitted they were still seeing one another. Two months later, the relationship was over for good. She hasn’t been in a serious relationship since but has dated a little. 

For example, she ‘tested the waters’ with Matt Stell – a country music singer and songwriter – in 2022, but decided they were better off as friends. Prior to her engagement to Kerdiles, she also dated NBA player Luke Kennard, Bachelor Colton Underwood (who came out as gay), and singer Blaire Hanks.
