Frustrated Teen Puts Instagram Influencer Mom on Blast By Making Hoodies That Says ‘No Photos,’ ‘No Means No,’ ‘Respect My Privacy,’ And More

One teen was so sick of her influencer mom sharing about her life on Instagram that she took to the Reddit community to express her frustration.

In her post, the frustrated teen began by saying, “I am a teenager, and my mom is kinda famous on Instagram and blogging. She had a mommy blog all when I was growing up, and of course, me and my sister were always involved.”

“It sucks because there’s so much [out] there about us, and it’s what’s gonna come up when I’m looking for a job, when I’m dating, [and] when anyone looks up my name.” Deciding that she had enough of her mom oversharing about their lives, the teen found a creative way to make a loud statement.

Teen Makes ‘No Photos’ Hoodies For Her and Her Sister So That Their Influencer Mom Would Stop Posting About Them Online

“I found a website that will print custom jackets, print all over the front and back and arms… And I ordered some hoodies that say a bunch of phrases all over them. ‘No photos.’ ‘no videos.’ ‘I do not consent to be photographed,’ ‘no means no,’ ‘respect my privacy,’ ‘no cameras,’ ‘no profiting off my image,’” the teen explained. “I got one for me and one for my 9-year-old sister who’s started to not always want photos.”

But as expected, the bold fashion statement has left her blogger mom angry. “I am just so fed up, and upset that my mom is mad at me for wearing my new hoodie every day. She’s mad I won’t take it off for any event and thinks it’s inappropriate to wear to certain things.”

Now the privacy-seeking teen is asking the Reddit community, “Am I the a**hole for always wearing my ‘no photos’ hoodie?” Thousands of people were quick to comment that the teen absolutely has the right to her privacy and that does not make her an a**hole.

One person wrote, “Your mom has exploited you all your life, for money. That’s shitty enough, but then to try and guilt-trip/manipulate you into continuing to participate even though you’ve told her explicitly you don’t want to be a part of it anymore? That is beyond the pale.” And most of the other commenters felt the same.
