Ah, celebrities. Many of their children will never have to worry about plebian matters like money or food. This means celeb parents can get away with bestowing on their progeny the strangest names. For instance, Ashlee Simpson‘s son has a name you don’t see often on many resumes: Bronx Mowgli. Good for Bronx! Simpson is not the first nor will she be the last famous parent to pick a weird name for their child. The newest odd name comes from musician Grimes and Tesla founder Elon Musk and it definitely made the list.
We decided to take a look at some other celebrity baby names that prove parents aren’t afraid to take the road less traveled. Some of these names might appeal to you and even inspire you to choose an unconventional name for your child. Others might make you ask yourself, What were they thinking? Either way, it’s always entertaining to consider the lives of the wealthy individuals and the circumstances that propelled them to pick oddball names.
