Fans got excited after Jessa Duggar posted on Instagram about her picky eaters.

In the caption to the post, she describes the eating situation as a “bit rough.” She elaborates, “We’ve had lots of helpful tips and advice shared with us for retraining appetites and getting kiddos to branch out and try new foods.”

She also suggests visiting her YouTube channel for even more tips.

Jessa posted a video for parents who have picky eaters on YouTube.

In the video, Jessa’s three kids show up and get fed some healthy alternatives to their usual snacks. Jessa is trying to retrain the kids to eat healthier foods and not munch on crackers all day.

She says the kids will still get treats but in moderation.

“We as parents have a responsibility to be training their palette in the right direction when they’re young,” she explains.

She advises parents to have something the kids love at every meal.

“Always have something at the meal you know they’ll love,” she says in the video.

It’s all about incremental changes she says.

She wants her kids to have preferences and not draw lines in the sand.

When introducing new foods like vegetables, she says that kids should day “I prefer,” rather than “I don’t like.”

This will keep their minds open to learning to enjoy the food.

Evidence of this was documented on her ‘gram when she posted a video of her son eating seaweed.

Jessa’s son Spurgeon is chowing down on this seaweed. Never thought that was possible!

She wants parents to get their kids involved in cooking and preparing food.

“They love to be involved in what we’re doing,” Duggar says to viewers. She adds, “They can do more than what we give them credit for.”

Giving kids a stake in the process will motivate them to eat their creations.

Jessa suggests having the kids help prep meals. This will make them more inclined to eat it.

Jessa proves her point by showing her kids eating a healthy meal.

Sweet treats are always great, but a healthy meal is much more fulfilling. She shows her kids enjoying a quinoa bowl with mixed vegetables!

The video is full of great tips, but the real star of the show is Ivy Jane.
