Several months after losing her mother to brain cancer, Mackenzie McKee‘s marriages may be ending as well. According to E! News, the Teen Mom star is accusing her husband and the father of her three children of having an affair.
This accusation comes months after McKee tried to end her marriage the first time after her husband Josh McKee reportedly kiss another woman at a Texas bar while he was competing at a rodeo. However, the mom of three decided against filing for divorce after her mom encouraged her not to.
The reality star and fitness instructor told E! News what her mother had said to her that helped her make her decision.
“She said, ‘My story is not you and Josh’s story but there were times I wanted to leave your dad. He would do this and that and he would make mistakes but we did have our hard times but look at your life. If you don’t forgive each other and learn to give your marriage to God, then look how different your life can be’.”
Now, without Angie around to talk to about what she is going through, E! News reports that McKee took to Facebook to express her frustration with her husband. And ultimately opened up about why she is ready to walk away from her marriage.
Mackenzie McKee Speaks Out After Learning Her Husband Was Having an Affair With Her Cousin
In her statement, according to E! News, McKee believes Josh was having an affair with her “close” cousin, who has been identified as a girl named Ashely. She came to this conclusion after randomly deciding “to pull Josh’s call and text logs.”
“To find out that one week after my mom died ‘when he started leaving and changing his behavior’ to find he was texting a woman 3-600 times per month and calling her on these nights he was ‘fishing’ until 3 am. What all went on? Idk. My family will never be the same and we are all torn. I WAS NOT only hurt by him, but by her. Life slowly turned into him working all day, coming home to shower, and fishing all night. Again, I wondered, ‘What is wrong with me, I need him here to hold me together,’ but gave him grace and knew he didn’t know how to handle it.”
It was about two weeks after Angie passed away in December 2019 that McKee said she started seeing him pulling away and making her “feel like a freak for being upset over her mother’s passing.” McKee concluded her Facebook by saying, “today is the day I walk away,” and then asked her friends for their continued prayers.
Mackenzie and Josh have been married since 2013.
