Just a few days ago, Jason Kelce pleaded the fifth when asked about the Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift dating rumors. Less than a week later, Jason appeared to spill the beans in a radio appearance on the 94WIP Morning Show with Joe DeCamara and Jon Ritchie – he says he believes the rumors are true.
One of the hosts asks how Travis and Taylor are doing, hoping to break some pop culture news on what’s generally a sports talk show. Jason admitted he was ‘blindsided’ by the question last week when Tony Gonzalez asked him about the rumors in a postgame interview after a win on Thursday Night Football.
“Tony kind of blindsided me with that question on Thursday night. It’s hard to answer because I don’t really know a lot about what’s happening in Travis’ love life,” he said. “But having said that, man, I think he’s doing great and I think it’s all 100% true and I hope that this thing goes the mile,” he continued.
However, Jason immediately added, “No, I’m joking, I don’t know what’s happening.”

For those who have been living under a rock the past week, Jason Kelce – along with his quarterback, Jalen Hurts – joined the Thursday Night Football panel after his Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Minnesota Vikings in a thrilling 34-28 win. That’s when Hall of Fame Tony Gonzalez asked the question.
“You talk about family and I have a 15-year-old daughter and she’s a big fan of a certain pop star… and you have a family member – a brother, I think – and I’ve been hearing rumors that there’s maybe some stuff… can you comment?” he asked Jason – referring to the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce dating rumors.
Jason Kelce decided to plead the fifth. “I’ve seen these rumors, I cannot comment,” he said, while Hurts joked that this turned into gossip TV all of a sudden. Tony, once again, tries to get some breaking news out of Jason and says ‘it’s for my daughter,’ but Jason doesn’t budge and maintains the bro code.
“Ever since Catching Kelce everybody’s been infatuated with Travis’ love life,” he continued – referring to a dating show centered around his brother, Travis Kelce, in 2016. “I don’t really know what’s going on there, but I know Travis is having fun and we’ll see what happens with whoever he ends up with.”
Origin of Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift Dating Rumors
While Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift have yet to confirm the dating rumors, the former certainly has an interest in the latter. He confirmed that much during his New Heights Podcast (which he hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce). In a July episode, he talked about how he recently attended her newest tour.
The concert was held on GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium – which is ironically the same field Travis Kelce and his Kansas City Chiefs call home – and Travis wasn’t going to miss it. In fact, he was hoping to get a chance to talk to Taylor Swift after her performance and made her a bracelet with his digits on it.
Unfortunately, he never got the opportunity to meet her. “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings, so I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” he told his brother on the podcast.

That was in July, but the Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift dating rumors heated up last week when The Messenger reported that the potential couple have been ‘quietly hanging out’ for several weeks and were spotted in New York City just a few weeks ago. I hope he knows that Swift is a devoted Eagles fan!
