Darius Jackson Joins Keke Palmer on Her Podcast One Week Before Their Public Feud Over Her Choice of Clothing at an Usher Concert

Keke Palmer and her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, are currently feuding just five months after welcoming their first child together, but it also comes just one week after the latter joined the former on her Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast. With so much going on in their relationship right now, let’s recap what happened.

Everything was going great between the two – up until recently, of course. They went public with their relationship in mid-2021 and announced they were pregnant in December 2022 – Keke gave birth to their son, Leo, on February 25, 2023. They’ve been proud parents ever since and Leo is now 4 months old.

Things started to heat up when footage of Keke Palmer at Usher’s concert at his residency in Las Vegas started going viral. The 29-year-old was wearing a stunning ensemble which included a black bodysuit under a sheer dress while Usher serenaded her. Darius took exception to her outfit and called her out publicly on Twitter the following day (July 5).

“It’s the outfit tho.. you a mom,” Darius Jackson wrote on Twitter. “We live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is,” he said in a separate post – adding he has standards to uphold.

The Twitter posts came just a few days after Darius was invited onto Keke’s podcast – an episode that was released on July 11 and also featured Raven Symoné and her wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday. Keke and Darius weren’t feuding at the time of recording and were talking openly about their relationship.

During the podcast, Jackson talked about how hard it was for him at the beginning of their relationship due to the ‘pressure of needing to be perfect.’ He described how ‘confused’ he was because ‘not only did [he] have to hold [himself] to that perfect standard, [he] was also holding [Keke] to a perfect standard.’

“At first, it definitely was hard because it could all be very overwhelming. It was definitely overwhelming and intense at first,” he said – something Keke agreed with. “So, any moment of flaw on my side or on your side it was World War III,” Darius continued. The Usher concert happened less than one week later.

Keke Palmer Praised Their Partnership Prior to Usher Concert

During her Baby, This is Keke Palmer podcast, Keke went as far as praising her relationship with Darius Jackson and their ability to maintain the privacy of their relationship while also sharing with the world the things they’re most proud of – such as their little boy, Leo.

“It’s a lot of pressure, because we are very proud and there are things that we want to share…at the same time we do want to be able to maintain the privacy of our relationship, and I feel like we’ve done such a good job at being able to do that,” Keke Palmer said.

On July 7, just two days after Darius’ Twitter rant, Keke took to her Instagram to share a video montage of her and her son – singing the words to a Stevie Wonder song and even adding a sweet message in the caption. “One thing is certain and one thing is true, IM A MOTHA, through and through!” she wrote.
