25 Perfect Pokémon Tattoos, You Gotta Ink ’em All

Pokémon is a series of video games developed by Game Freak and published by Nintendo and The Pokémon Company under the Pokémon media franchise. The cute little characters have taken the globe by storm and represent a worldwide phenomenon. There are the video games, of course, but also movies, tv shows, playing cards, and all sorts of ways to fall in love with these adorable creatures.

For diehard Pokémon fans, a tattoo of their favorite little beast is often appealing. These tattoos range in style, colors, and size as each individual has their own relationship with Pokémon. We decided to take a deep dive into the world of Pokémon tattoos to discover what people were getting inked and the types of tattoos that are favored in the space. We found that full color wins over black and grey and, in fact, the more color the better for most fans. Further, we thought we’d encounter primarily Pikachu tattoos but we were pleasantly surprised to find a hugely diverse array of Pokémon characters. Here we find an invented Pokémon that the artist described as “Cactizarre.” Why yes, we do need a character that’s part cacti! Brilliant.

Litten and Rose

Check out this fire cat and its accompanying rose. The artist has chosen insanely beautiful inks here to bring the tattoo to life. While we would not have thought of this stylistic pairing, it certainly works well.

Another tattoo from France, Umbreon is known as Noctali there. We love this black and white design that’s spiced up by an aqua-colored crescent moon. How darling!

We had to share a couple of Halloween Pokémon tattoos, because… We just needed to, okay? We love this mummy Meowth and his cute little jack-o’-lantern with green innards.

Here’s another Halloween treat! We find Pikachu dressed up and completely prepared for some trick or treating. He’s got a petit Gengar-shaped bucket for candy that was a very nice touch.

Ditto

Ditto is a unique Pokémon because it can breed with any Pokémon. So, the words “You can be anything” work well for a couple of reasons! This very cute, uplifting tattoo is one of our absolute favorites on this list.
