Is there anything better than a slice of pie? Honestly, a tender, buttery crust and a sweet filling make this humble dessert one of America’s very favorite. Have no shame about your pie obsession, because you are not alone. Each Thanksgiving, an estimated 50 million pumpkin pies are sold. Americans purchase about 186 million pies a year. That’s a lot of pie no matter how you slice it!
With those numbers, it should come as no surprise that pie tattoos are a favorite. From bakers to pie aficionados, these bakes show up on arms, and elsewhere, as cute little tattoo tributes to one of the country’s most beloved foods. With the holiday season upon us, we decided to take a closer look at these delicious little tattoos to discover what sorts of pie inspire the most ink. We were pleasantly surprised to find a diverse set of pie tattoos that ranged from sentimental to funny. Anecdotally, the key lime pie has a hungry fanbase as we came across more lime pie tattoos than any other. Apple, cherry, and blueberry all make appearances on this list. So, check out these 25 delectable pie tattoos and get yourself in the holiday spirit!
“Everything is just peachy keen!” the artist who tattooed this marvel shared along with the image. We love these very vibrant colors which look so warm and inviting. Peach pie is commonly enjoyed at the height of peach season in summer, and we’d give anything for a slice of that sunshine right now.
Cherry is the third most popular pie purchased in the US. It seems like the quintessential American dessert. This very cute lattice crust pie makes for a charming tattoo.
Here’s a slice of apple pie, the most popular filling of pie in the US. While most of the tattoos on this list feature colorful ink, we find this all black slice is a standout.
The artist who shared this image of a blueberry pie tattoo, noted that it’s part of a larger food-themed sleeve. We fully endorse this choice and think that tattoos of favorite foods are some of the very best.
Check out this cute little kawaii tart. It’s topped with a dollop of whipped cream and a precious looking strawberry. We’ll take a dozen!
Isn’t this a beauty? This slice of blackberry goodness is flanked by smart florals. We love the way the artist has interpreted the filling of this pie, making sure that the fruit of choice is clearly visible.
Pie’s a Drug
“Sell drugs, eat pie,” the person who shared this image wrote. This tattoo was done in Denver, Colorado, so we assume those drugs are legalized there! Even if you don’t agree with the sentiment, this is a handsome slice of key lime pie.
Apple of My Eye
What a darling slice of apple pie with a label displaying a cute font. We love the gentle shading here which gives the tattoo a golden glow.
This slice of cherry pie is accompanied by the banner, “She’s my Cherry Pie” which we assume is in reference to a horrible song by a band called Warrant. We struggled with this one because we love the tattoo but absolutely despise that song. Do you!
Here’s a markedly different tattoo of a slice of cherry pie. This prize is being cradled by an adorable raccoon with big cartoon eyes. We suppose they enjoy pie too!
This very funny and slightly disturbing tattoo of an octopus baked into a pie is a silly joke tattoo. If you’re big on puns, feel free to do something similar.
Cute Key Lime
If you want any object to appear cuter, just slap a face on it. Here, we find a key lime pie slice with shining eyes and a smile. Who could eat this friendly face?
The person with this remarkable black and grey tattoo shared the image along with a quote, “That’s some damn fine coffee.” Walk with us for a moment as we take a detour through Twin Peaks.

Last, but not least on this journey through the food ways of the Pacific Northwest, we find a pie outfitted in the infamous pattern found on the floor of a mysterious room-non-room. Get surreal with it, folks!
Truer words have never been inked. We find a tart slice of key lime pie that is positively glowing with neon-colored ink. We love the way this design uses a plate as a sort of frame for the piece.
If you’re truly serious about your love for pie, you’ll have no problem having a slice tattooed right on your hand. Why not?
Pie is where the heart is or heart is where the pie is? This cool-looking blueberry pie is complete with a lacy blue heart to really seal the deal.
“Just a little pie baker committing to her passion,” the person who shared this image wrote. We love this idea and think something similar would work well as a matching best friend tattoo.

This is another tattoo on a baker. This time, they’ve paired their pie with an imaginative design of the baker’s cat. We’d love to share a slice with this adorable friend.

Everyone’s favorite, pumpkin pie is a happy custard dream in this charming tattoo. We love the polka dot hearts filled with pastel color. They really bring this design to life.
Derby or Die
Derby pie is a chocolate and walnut tart in a pie shell with a pastry dough crust. It is made with walnuts and chocolate chips and hails from Kentucky (home of that big derby). We would like a slice of this delicious sounding treat.
Serve the Sky
Well, it took us a moment to catch the reference here as we’re not up to speed on lyrics by The National. But, in a song entitled, “The Geese of Beverly Road” there’s a line that’s inspired this tattoo: “Serve me the sky with a big slice of lemon.” The fact that this person interpreted that into a slice of pie speaks volumes to the sheer glory of pie.
There you go! 25 amazing pie tattoos that we hope made you want to bake or at least pick up a pie from your favorite spot. Don’t be afraid to let your love of a certain food dictate a tattoo. People love personal designs like these.
