2021 holds the promise of the world getting a hold on the COVID-19 pandemic with multiple vaccines being rolled out around the country and abroad. It’s been a dark few months for many of us, but there were some bright spots, you just needed to know where to look! One thing that continues to bring us joy is seeing adorable celebrity babies! For many celebs, these children represent the start of their parenting journeys and mark a turning point in their lives.
We decided to round up all the celebrity babies born in 2021 that have landed on our radar thus far. Kelly Rowland, Mandy Moore, Jenny Slate, and many more celebrities have all announced the births of their children this year! Emma Roberts and Garret Hedlund welcomed a son they named Rhodes Robert Hedlund at the end of December but fans did not find out until that news was finally confirmed in January. His birth date is December 27. So, we are counting this one as a 2021 baby even though it probably shouldn’t be because we love the picture she shared so much! This was one of the most anticipated celebrity babies of the year!
Dancing with the Stars favorite Witney Carson and husband, Carson McAllister welcomed their son, Kevin “Leo” McAllister on January 3 following “a really hard 24-hour labor, and an unexpected c-section.” She also shared that he was “named after his grandpa who sent him down to us.”
Country singer Clay Walker welcomed his seventh child, a son named Christian Walker, on January 5. This is his fourth child with Jessica Craig. Walker said to People, “he’s perfect in every way.”
Season 10 The Voice contestant, Mary Sarah and boyfriend Mitch Clark, combined the names Adeline and Ava for their daughter, Avelyn May. She was born on January 6 in Nashville.
Genevieve ‘GiGi’ Valentina
9-1-1 actor Ryan Guzman and fiancée Chrysti Ane surprised fans with the arrival of their second child on January 7. “Well world, I think it’s time I make a confession….I’ve been pregnant for basically this entire quarantine ????????,” Chrysti wrote on Instagram following the announcement. This one wasn’t on our radar until the big reveal and little GiGi has got to be one of our favorite celebrity babies!
Hartford Charlie Rose
Former Vanderpump Rules star Stassi Schroeder welcomed her first child with her husband, Beau Clark, named Hartford Charlie Rose Clark on January 7 as well! “We are feeling so blessed and grateful to have a beautiful and most importantly, healthy baby girl,” the couple said shortly after Hartford’s birth.
The Voice season 2 contestant Chriss Mann and wife Laura welcomed their second child together, Rocky Conor, on January 11 in Los Angeles. “We were just trying to take it easy at home when Laura’s labor went from zero to 100 in about an hour,” Chris said, explaining that his wife almost went into labor in the car on the way to the hospital.
Gossip Girl alum Jessica Szohr and her professional hockey-playing boyfriend, Brad Richardson, welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Bowie Ella on January 11. “Added a little special sweetness to our family and some new direction to our journey on 1-11-21,” she wrote on her Instagram birth announcement. Bowie can be added to the list of celebrity babies with rockstar names!
Khadijah Haqq McCray and husband Bobby McCray welcomed their third child together on January 17. The couple chose the sweet name Kapri for their youngest. “We love you baby girl, you complete our family!” she shared shortly after giving birth.
Author and actor Jenny Slate and her fiancé Ben Shattuck kept their pregnancy a complete secret until just a few days before their daughter, Ida Lupine, was born. “Being a mother is such a joy. It’s so cliché, but I love it,” she told Entertainment Tonight after confirming the news of Ida’s birth. “I feel really lucky and happy.” Although we did not expect celebrity babies from Slate this year, we’re certainly thrilled for her!
Teen Mom star Chelsea Houska welcomed her fourth, baby girl, Walker, with husband Cole DeBoer, on January 25. “She decided she wanted to share a birthday with her big brother, Watson, and surprised us by coming last night,” Houska wrote at the time.
Country singer Tyler Farr and wife, Hannah, welcome their first child together, Hollis Caroline, on January 27 in Franklin, Tennessee. “Our pic right before we brought [our] little girl home. To say it changes a man is an understatement,” the entertainer wrote.
Lang Lang’s Son
The Chinese pianist, Lang Lang, and his musician wife Gina Alice Redlinger welcomed their first child together, a baby boy whose name they have not made public! They announced the birth on January 28. “Gina and I are delighted to announce the birth of our baby boy. Welcome to the world ????,” he wrote as a caption.
Another one of the most anticipated celebrity babies of the year, Kelly Rowland finally makes it on this list. She and her husband, Tim Weatherspoon, welcomed their second child, a baby boy, on January 21. The “COFFEE” singer stuck to the classics when naming her son Noah Jon. “On the 21st day, of the 21st year, of the 21st Century, Noah Jon Weatherspoon Greeted us!” Rowland said at the time.
Million Little Things actor Romany Malco became a first-time biological father earlier this year at the age of 52 (he is already a stepdad to two). “I’ve never been responsible for anything quite as delicate and precious,” he wrote at the time. “Kids don’t live how you tell them to live. They live how you show them to live.”
Vanessa Morgan of Riverdale fame, welcomed her first child, River. She shares the baby boy with estranged husband Michael Kopech (a pitcher for the Chicago White Sex). “We are enjoying this time home with him, being present, & giving him all the lovin’ in the world,” Morgan wrote on Instagram. “Becoming parents is the most rewarding gift in the entire world.”
Food Network personality Duff Goldman and his wife, Johnna, welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Josephine Frances. “I have no words to describe this blessing. @johnnapgoldman and I made a baby!” Goldman, 46, wrote on Instagram.
Singer Joss Stone and boyfriend, Cody DaLuz took to Facebook live to unveil the birth of their baby, Violet Melissa. “I have a very special little bun that I’ve been making,” she said as DaLuz brings the baby into the frame, who was born Friday, January 29. “Took about nine months. Married at First Sight alums Anthony D’Amico and Ashley Petta welcomed their second child together, on February 3. They named their daughter the decidedly retro pick, but lovely, Vaeda Marie. “Ashley and I are beyond excited to announce the birth of the newest member of our family, our daughter Vaeda Marie,” said D’Amico to People, adding that the newborn arrived with “a full head of hair.”
Country music star Mickey Guyton welcomed her first baby with husband Grant Savoy, an attorney. She made the announcement on February 8 writing, “The hardest and most beautiful thing I have ever done. Welcome to the world Grayson!”
Theo Campbell, a former contestant on MTV’s The Challenge and the UK’s Love Island, is a new dad, he revealed on Instagram on February 8. He named his son Aries.

I can’t believe the joy I had looking into the eyes of my baby boy ❤️,” he captioned a photo of himself holding a baby carrier. “I only told a few friends and family so for most people will be massive surprise seeing this ???? Bringing Up Bates star Alyssa Bates and husband John Webster gave birth to a baby girl on February 9. “We couldn’t be happier or more thankful to add a fourth little girl to our family,” the couple said at the time. “Maci Jo is perfect in every way and we can’t wait to see the girls’ reactions to meeting her for the first time.” Maci Jo joins three other sisters.

One of the highest-profile celebrity babies, it’s always such a big deal with the royals.
Supermodel Elsa Hosk welcomed her daughter Tuulikki Joan, with boyfriend Tom Daly on February 11. “Happiest day of my life meeting you. Proudest moment in my life giving birth to you,” she captioned a selfie sharing the news. “We will love you forever, baby Tuuli.”
“Valentines came a little early this year????????. Welcome our sweetheart, Brilynn Mari Redmond,” Brandi Redmond, star of Real Housewives of Dallas, shared following the birth of her baby girl in February. Brilynn is shared with Brandi’s husband Brad. This is the couple’s fourth child.
Soccer superstars, Ashlyn Harris and Ali Krieger, who wed in December 2019, welcomed the newest member of their family, daughter Sloane, on February 12. The couple who became parents through adoption shared an emotional note along with their announcement:

Olympic swimmer Nathan Adrian and his wife, Hallie Ivester, welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, on February 9. “Welcome to the world, Parker Jacquelyn Adrian!!! Morgan Stewart and her husband Jordan McGraw welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, on February 16. The host of E! News’ Nightly Pop announced her newborn’s arrival on Instagram with a photo of the two of them, revealing the little one’s name: Row Renggli McGraw. “Row Renggli McGraw just wanted me to quickly update you guys that after 30 hours, 27 apple juices, & 16 pushes later she decided to join our party!” Stewart wrote at the time.

One of the most surprising celebrity babies of 2021 was born to Hilaria and Alec Baldwin. On March 1, Hilaria revealed on Instagram that she and Alec have welcomed a surprise new addition via surrogate, María Lucía Victoria. Hilaria shared a photo of herself snuggled up with all of the couple’s six children, including their infant daughter in the center, and son Eduardo “Edu” Pao Lucas, who was born in September 2020.

The Real Housewives of Potomac’s Ashley Darby and her husband Michael Darby welcomed their second child together, a son, she announced on her Instagram Stories on March 2. The newest addition to her family joins 19-month-old big brother Dean Michael.

The news was a huge surprise for fans who did not even know the couple was pregnant. Baby boy Dakota is named for Culkin’s sister who died in 2008 when a car hit her in Los Angeles. She was only 29-years-old.

Vanderpump Rules alums, Brittany Cartwright and Jax Taylor welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, on April 12 in Los Angeles. “Yesterday, April 12th at 1:51pm, our lives changed forever in the absolute best way possible,” Cartwright wrote at the time on Instagram. “Our beautiful son Cruz Michael Cauchi was born and we have never been more in love.”
Lauren and Nick Carter welcomed baby number three! A little girl, they named Pearl. Pearl has two older siblings, big bro Odin Reign, 5, and big(ish) sister Saoirse, 18 months. “We are proud to announce that our baby has officially arrived,” the singer shared on Twitter. Vanderpump Rules star Scheana Shay welcomed her first child with boyfriend Brock Honey Davies in Los Angeles on April 26. “Becoming a mom has been the most amazing gift I have ever received,” she shared just days after the birth of Summer Moon.
PEN15 co-creator and star, Anna Konkle, welcomed her first child with her fiancé Alex Anfanger. They named their daughter Essie Wundurle. She explained to Vogue “The middle name comes from my dad’s side of the family, in honor of him.” Okay!
The other co-creator of PEN15, Maya Erskine and fiancé Michael Angarano welcomed a son, Leon Frederick. She gave birth shortly after Konkle, her colleague, but also her best friend. She has yet to share any photos of her baby.

The happy couple announced the birth of their daughter on Instagram. “Today I experienced something that rewrote my personal definition of a Black Woman,” Taylor wrote. “To observe my Queen @tasiasword bring my little Angel @keziahlondontaylor into this world elevated my understanding and sense of pride, respect and admiration for black women.”
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is a father! The Jersey Shore star welcomed his first child with wife Lauren Sorrentino on May 26. They made the announcement and revealed the name of their son, Romeo Reign, on Instagram at the time.
Erin and Ben Napier, of HGTV’s Home Town fame, welcomed their second baby together, a daughter, on May 28. The newest addition to the family joins 3-year-old big sister Helen. “While we are excited to have another daughter to love, we are more excited to see the bond she and Helen will have,” the couple told People. “They’re already so in love with each other!”

One of the most surprising celebrity babies of 2021 was announced in July by Amber Heard even though her daughter was born on April 8! “I’m so excited to share this news with you,” the Heard shared in the announcement. “Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child. I wanted to do it on my own terms. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think about one of the most fundamental parts of our destinies in this way,” she wrote suggesting surrogacy was her way to parenthood.

Ilana Glazer and partner David Rooklin welcomed their first child together and announced the little girl’s arrival on July 19. She shared an image of herself breastfeeding her newborn along with the quip, “Been breastfeedin [sic] in compression socks for the past 3 weeks, hbu?”
Shawn Johnson and Andrew East welcomed their second child together, a baby boy named Jett James. The couple announced the birth of the newest member of their family on July 20. “We’re so excited to announce a new friend is here,” the athletic pair wrote alongside the announcement.
Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon and Joshua Efird gave birth to their second child, a baby boy named Bentley Jameson on July 21. “After being admitted into the hospital last night at 2-3 centimeters with heavy contractions our baby boy has finally made his debut,” Shannon wrote at the time.
Kirsten Dunst had her first child, Ennis Howard, with fiancé Jesse Plemons in May 2018. “Having that much joy in your life, no matter how you feel, personally, waking up and seeing that face is the best thing in the world,” Dunst told GMA following the birth of her son.

A name has not been revealed yet but we do know the baby was healthy at the time of birth and weighed 6 pounds and 2 ounces.
Rachel Platten and Kevin Lazan shared that they welcomed their second child, Sophie Jo Lazan on September 9. “Thank you Sophie for showing me what I am made of and for completing our family,” she wrote in part, in the baby announcement on social media.
One of the celebrity babies we did not see coming was little Hugo who was born to Tricia Davis and Macklemore. “Six weeks ago in the shadow of the Buck Moon, this beautiful human came into our lives,” the “Thrift Shop” rapper’s wife wrote via Instagram on September 15. “He arrived rooted and calm, mostly just observing the two whirling dervishes around him. Welcome home Hugo. May you crush the distorted masculine and awaken the divine.”
Jennifer Love Hewitt and Brian Hallisay welcomed their third child in September. On September 9, she announced the arrival in a sweet post on Instagram. “’It is said that women leave their bodies in labor… they travel to the stars to collect the souls of their babies, and return to this world together,’” the post said. “It was my greatest honor to go and collect you Aidan James. Now back to snuggles and resting.”

MTV’s Teen Mom‘s Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra are now proud parents of four! “Oh Rya Rose Baltierra ???? we adore you soooo much you are another rainbow ???? and bless us everyday ❤️ we love you,” Lowell shared alongside some precious photos of their newest addition.
Granger Smith and Amber Smith welcomed a baby boy on August 20. “He’s here,” the musician captioned an Instagram photo of his wife and the new addition. “Wow…so many emotions. Maverick Beckham Smith made his debut today. He and @amberemilysmith are doing great ????????.”
